Sad News

M. Ven. Bro. Halliday sent along this news—

Most Venerable Brother William Robert James Laycock, SGC, Past Sovereign Grand Master of the Allied Masonic Degrees of Canada passed peacefully to the Grand Lodge Above at the age of 73 on June 29, 2017 at Victoria Hospital, London from complications due to COPD and Pulminary Fibrosis resulting from a life  of smoking and working in toxic environments.
Mr. Laycock leaves his daughter, Mrs. Julie Helka of Belmont, ON; sister, Mrs. Violet Streeter of Garden City, MI; his adopted nieces and nephew, Miss Lorraine Hatch and Miss Stephanie Hatch both of Redbridge, ON and Mr. Owen Hill of Huntsville, ON and all his friends and Masonic Brethren of his many lodges across Canada.
William thanks his neighbours and the wonderful doctors and dedicated nurses at Victoria Hospital for their  kindly and competent care and apologizes if he gave them a hard time.
A Masonic Service, to which everyone is invited will be held at the Hammond Lodge Hall, 21996 Hagerty Road in Wardsville, ON by members of Hammond Lodge #327 on Saturday, July 8 at 2pm.
We have also learned today [Friday, 30 June 2017] of the passing of M. Ven. Bro. William F. Leipert in Moose Jaw on June 26.

Sarnia Hotel change

If you have registered with the Drawbridge Inn for the sessions in August, you may have received an email informing you the Inn will be closed in August.

You might also have had an email from your Secretary with a new copy of the registration form attached. It has the new hotel information on it. YOU MUST CALL the Harbourfront Inn to confirm that your name has been given to them and complete their registration process.

New Council Numbered

Peace Council was consecrated on Saturday 15 October 2016 in Dawson Creek, BC. A number of brethren from Yellowhead Council #220 in Edmonton, AB travelled to Dawson Creek to show support and witness this historic event in the life of Peace Council #224.

Grand Master’s Visit

M. Ven. Bro. Robert Turner, SGC, visited Keystone Council 172 in Winnipeg on Dec. 18, 2015.
He conducted the Installation and Investiture of the officers for 2016.
